Why not another Steve Darwood novel? I enjoyed it as I have others written about Korean/Army experiences. Reminiscent of Gus Lee’s Tiger’s Tail. Complex place. I’m the dad of Eric Blomstedt ’98 Lt. Col ret. who spent a year as a tank platoon commander at Camp Casey. Not very mechanically inclined, he took his WP Korean roommate’s advice to switch to Sig Int before 9/11. Very satisfying. I gave him the book to read. We visited Seoul and Panmunjon on his second tour of duty in Korea. He married a Korean American gal, also on the advice of his roommate.
I’ve added your book to my enormous collection of West Point fiction (450 items) and am producing a catalog of it. The collection will be donated to the WP library once the cataloging is done. They are rather eager to receive it, since its not something they accumulate. Here’s a link to the on-line display of the collection.
I haven’t read any of your other work….I’m way behind on some of the WP fiction….but I will say it is ‘eclectic’. I will buy a couple of Amazon for reading later this year. Best wishes.
